Getting to JLS

Getting to JLS

Each morning, over 1300 students, teachers, and staff need to safely make their way to JLS during the morning school commute.   The JLS Administration,  PTA, and the Palo Alto Police Department caution you to share the road safely with everyone.

Students are encouraged to walk, bike, ride the bus, or carpool to JLS whenever possible. Reducing car trips to JLS has many benefits such as:

  • relieving congestion

  • improving campus safety

  • helping our environment

  • promoting health through exercise

Please use the navigation guide on this page to learn more about all the ways for students to get to school safely, read the Palo Alto Police Chief’s safety message and consult the Safe Routes to School Walk and Roll Map for selecting the best route to school.
