Thank you for your awesome flexibility this week.  The JLS staff and I are tremendously grateful for your help at home in keeping our students safe and calm as we get back into our school routines.   Looking back on this week, we appreciate your careful approach in helping all students stay as safe and as healthy as possible.  This includes testing, wearing masks always, and of course, getting used to being back at school after the winter break.  As a parent of an 8th grader and 6th grader, I can completely empathize with the hard decisions that parents and families are facing right now.

The JLS Library wishes you the best during winter break. Remember: there’s snow better time to read than now!

Here is our last newsletter of 2021 – hope you find a great winter break read! All Panthers are encouraged to log here – voluntarily, of course! – any books they read until January 6th, for a chance to win a free book!  Good Luck!

The counseling team at JLS would like to provide some mental health resources for your information if you need any support with accessing mental health resources during the break. This list includes various hotline numbers and also contact information for a few agencies that provide mental health support for students and families. We are posting this information on the grade level Schoology pages for students to access as well.

During the holidays, students might have a need to get more support while they are away from school. We want to make sure that students and families have access to this information.
