Tomorrow evening the commitment survey for secondary students closes at 5:00 PM. Regardless of the shifting conditions associated with COVID, we need all parents to submit their choice of either Hybrid or Distance Learning.
Earlier today I was on KJLS and summarized the options for our students and reminded them to talk with their parents about their family’s choice. I also reminded our students of the Wednesday 5:00 PM deadline.
I hope you and your family are healthy and doing well. As we prepare for the holiday season, families and schools are making decisions regarding our reopening plans in January. Please read the following information regarding PAUSD’s reopening plans, families choosing between Distance Learning or Hybrid Learning options, supporting learning at home, holiday travel guidance, and an opportunity from the Gunn Theatre Department.
The following message has been sent to parents with a link for each student.
Palo Alto Unified School District will offer options of either hybrid (in-person) or full distance (at-home) learning beginning January 2021 for middle and high school students. Parents/Guardians must select the learning model for their child no later than November 18th at 5:00pm. The choice is binding through the end of the school year. This is the official selection commitment.
I hope you are having a good weekend! This short message includes important reminders about our special Bell Schedule and Calendar this week, as well as important information regarding Reopening Schools.
Please note, Monday and Tuesday have different start times than usual...
I know this is a very busy time; lots of news surrounds us all, but I wanted to make sure you had some important updates in your Inbox from me and the team at JLS.
Highlights for JLS Students:
This week’s highlights for all JLS students include our Mock Election in History/Social Studies classes, a school-wide Student Council Election that is happening now through Friday (speeches and voting info on Schoology), and our first School Connect Lesson from Module 7 took place today in Advisory classes.
