JLS School Dance - Save the Date! Friday, October 29
Hello JLS Families,
I just posted this on Schoology for students, but I wanted you to have this information too.
SAVE THE DATE! We are looking forward to our first JLS School Dance at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 29, 2021. As some of you may have already heard, the theme of this dance will be “Graveyard Gala!”
Our dance will be outdoors and only open to current JLS students. (Students will need to show their school ID upon check-in.) All participants will be required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth throughout the event.
We will have a DJ for music, a variety of activities, refreshments, and we are fortunate to have many parent volunteers to help chaperone.
In order for everyone to have a fun in-person experience, we are enforcing a phone-freeevent. This means that students will check their personal devices into the Coat Check at the start of the dance as they arrive. Students will pick up their device at the end of the dance as they leave.
We want every JLS student to know they are invited to this dance, and they should expect to have a great time. However, students are not allowed to come to the dance if they have earned 5 or more tardies (between October 5 and October 29) or if they have received disciplinary action, such as a suspension.
If you have questions about your eligibility to participate in our first dance of the 2021-22 school year, please contact your grade level Administrator:
- Kim Lohse (6th Grade), email@example.com
- Jeff Downing (7th Grade), firstname.lastname@example.org
- Hanisi Accetta (8th Grade), email@example.com
We cannot wait to see you at the dance! More information will be posted on Schoology and shared out with the JLS community as we approach the event!
-Mr. Grierson (firstname.lastname@example.org)
